It is Capricorn’s mission to manufacture the world’s best tubes for your 3D printer. PTFE tube shop is a Capricorn dealer, and we sell only official Capricorn products. Our assortment includes the TL and XS series from Capricorn and both types are suitable for 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm filaments. In general, the XS series can be considered Capricorn’s ‘pro’ line. This is in part due to the high heat resistance, which makes the TL series more user friendly. The additives make the characteristics of both the XS and the TL series superior in comparison to the standard white PTFE tubes usually supplied with a printer. Whether the XS series or the TL series is most suitable for you depends mostly on the type of filament used for printing.
Capricorn XS
The mix of high-performance additives make the XS line from Capricorn the premium PTFE tube with improved characteristics. This is without doubt the best tube available for your 3D printer, with the diameter and perfect roundness guaranteed. Printing with a flexible filament will be successful, without a ‘pile-up’ that can occur with PTFE tubes with an oversized diameter. Every metre XS tube is marked with a sticker to guarantee authenticity!

Capricorn TL
The TL line from Capricorn is the beginners line. Are you new to 3D printing? If so, this will be more suitable than the XS line. It offers a slightly wider inner diameter (2 mm instead of 1.9 mm for a 1.75 mm filament), which makes for easier operation. The wider diameter is likely to make unexpected problems less likely. Due to the transparency of the tube, it is easier to identify and resolve problems. This tube is also recommended for low quality filaments, with perhaps an irregular diameter or those that contains lumps or particles.

Capricorn XS Heat Break Liner 2 x 3 mm x 30 cm
The Capricorn XS Heat Break Liner is made from the same material as the XS series Bowden tubes. It’s designed to fit perfectly around the heat break.
Diameter: 2.0 mm inner diameter x 3.0 mm outer diameter
The Capricorn XS Heat Break Liner is supplied in length of 30 cm, enough for 10 heat breaks.
